A purpose-built home with close links to the community
There’s such a homely atmosphere here – we’re like one big family. Argyles is in an excellent spot, an easy stroll from town centre shops, parks, the library, and theatre, and we have great links to local schools and community groups.
Great places to socialise, enjoy an activity or have quiet time
There are lots of places to relax around our home, both indoors and out. Residents can choose to have their hair done, enjoy the warmth of the conservatory, or have a catch-up over coffee in one of our lounges.
We’ve lots of room for family and friends - pop in anytime
Our lounges are the ideal place to relax, where families can host private events like birthday parties and dinners. Families are welcome at meal times too.
Enjoy the sunshine all year round
The windows of our home provide bright space for both our lounges and conservatory, which leads out to a pretty garden and patio. The patio itself has lots of seating.
Find a peaceful spot to relax with a book or today’s paper
We have two ‘quiet zones’ - there are lots of activities on offer but if residents want some peace and quiet, there’s a choice of places to go.
There’s no typical day at Argyles, we arrange plenty to do, both here at the home as well as out and about.
Part of the local community
We get weekly visits from school children, beavers, beauty students from the local college, and the exercise class run by the local golf club.
Pub lunches, picnics and weekly outings
Residents can go to the Memory Cafe at the Corner Exchange Theatre every week for a reminiscence session, visit Victoria Park for a picnic in summer when bands are performing on the band stand, and have monthly pub lunches.
A huge variety of activities
We hold knit and natter sessions and accommodate visiting singers, magicians, movie afternoons, craft sessions, and baking.
